This is pretty good, but I like his son's music better.

God, i love this song!Off to look for more Albert Hammond - hopefully i'll find "Free Electric Band" too!By the way, the chords for this (G, Em, Am, D7 if you play in that key!) are exactly the same as Eric Idles "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" !How's that for useless information??!!Lol!

This is a fantastic song. His son plays in The Strokes - Albert Hammond Jr.

i love this song..it makes california seem like a laid back place to live instead the celebrity crazy and plastic image it seems to have...and just out of complete randomness i discovered a different version of a song with the same title by a group called toni tone tony, it's actually pretty cool too.

He is British but not from London, or England for that matter. He's from Gibraltar, an English overseas territory in the tip of the Iberian peninsula. In fact Albert played his first gigs in Spain. The song's meaning isn't that it actually never rains in Southern California, but rather that things appear to be so great, but underneath it all, they're not quite (it never rains in California, but girl don't they warn ya, it pours...).

He's from London, United Kingdom.

Wow, it was 1972 and I had a real deep crush on Susie. I didn't went out the way I wanted, although she's singel now and so am I. She stills very beautiful. What do you think folks, should I take a chanche on here with this song in the background?

Well, there wouldn't be brushfires so often if that happened MOST of the year. Besides, "It Never Rains In Southern California" is a metaphor. Its about a lack of opportunities. The lyrics:Ooh, that talk of opportunities, TV breaks and moviesRang true, sure rang true (said with sarcasm)and later:Out of work, I'm out of my headOut of self respect, I'm out of breadI'm underloved, I'm underfed, I wanna go homeIts about not being able to get a job.
